The Public Realm Scheme will see a multi-million pound upgrade of Newry’s two main streets – Hill St and Monaghan St, including new footpaths, street furniture, trees, cycling facilities and a new lighting system.

The scheme will help establish a modern vibrant city centre. This £1.8million investment is only the start of a wider three-year investment by DSD in the public realm that is proposed in the draft Newry City Centre Masterplan. Parkhood selected Hartecast bins, seats and cycle stands for Hill Street and Monaghan Street.
