DUCTILE IRON
Spheroidal graphite better known as ductile iron is much stronger than cast iron. It is a group of irons that exhibit high strength, flexibility, durability, and elasticity due to their unique microstructure. This unique microstructure causes ductile iron to withstand impact far better than traditional cast iron. Our ductile iron components are manufactured from recycled metal and at the end of their life, can be 100% recycled again.
STAINLESS STEEL
Stainless steel is inherently tougher and more vandal resistant than standard steel, with exceptional corrosion resistance. Hartecast uses marine grade 316 stainless steel for all exposed components, ensuring superior protection against corrosion making it ideal for street furniture exposed to salt spray. Demonstrating an unwavering commitment to durability, Hartecast also opts for 304 grade stainless steel (rather than mild steel) for fabricated parts, even when they are powder coated, further enhancing longevity and performance.
RECYCLED COMPOSITE TIMBER
Recycled composite timber is an alternative to hardwood timber. The composite is a solid section all the way through, made from 65% hardwood and 35% recycled plastic. It combines the traditional appearance of timber with the durability of an engineered composite. It is the very hard wearing, the ultimate in low maintenance, UV stable, weather resistant and impervious to rot and wood eating organisms. It is maintenance free and graffiti can be easily removed with sanding
TIMBER
The hardwood we use is sourced from FSC certified sustainably managed forests, ensuring responsible environmental practices. The timber is treated with a protective stain that not only safeguards the wood but also delivers a high quality, refined finish.
